ACTIVITIES
Mindfulness in Nature Walks

Reconnect with your natural environment with an immersive and introspective walk amidst flora and fauna. Rediscover the beauty of Mother Nature and why we need to conserve her.

Adapted from the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, this activity is suitable to relieve stress and restore both emotional and mental wellbeing.

Participants will be guided on breathing, walking and mindfulness techniques before engaging their visual, auditory, tactile and olfactory senses in a designated environment. They will then return for a gustatory segment to complete the sensorial experience before exchanging their takeaways from the session.

Nature Trails

Being amongst nature is scientifically proven to improve our physical, emotional and mental health. Walking gives us a chance to clock our steps, get some fresh air and rest our eyes from our screens.

And despite being an urbanized island, Singapore actually offers many pockets of wilderness to explore our tropical biodiversity of flora and fauna.

This activity is suitable for anyone who wants to experience the richness of nature; no professional naturalist experience is required!

Time: 1.5 to 2 hours

Locations: Chek Jawa, Sungei Buloh, Windsor Nature Park, Lorong Halus, Pasir Ris Mangrove.

Ideal number of participants: From 4 to 15

Suitable for: Student groups, nature enthusiasts, employee welfare, team bonding

Plogging

Litter and rubbish in the natural environment is pollutive and can endanger humans, animals and plants. Plastic alone is a scourge that has infiltrated the summit of Mount Everest, the Marianas Trench and even the human blood stream.

To maintain human and ecological health, we need to reduce the waste in our environment. PPCF organizes coastal clean-ups for groups who truly want to help keep our natural ecosystems clean.

You don't need a degree in Environmental Studies or fancy field equipment to make a positive difference to the environment. Just willing hands to literally make the world a better, cleaner place.

Time: 2 hours

Locations: Parks, beaches, Chek Jawa

Ideal number of participants: From 5 to 40
